Broaches Farm, Dalton, Richmond DL11 7HW
In 1996 this wonderful garden was a field. It now includes 2 ponds, one with koi, a stream, bog garden and wooded area. Mixed colourful borders are full of herbaceous perennials. Informal and naturalistic, this is a rural idyll. Abundant wildlife including; kingfishers, dippers, wagtails, frogs and toads. Lots of seating areas including summerhouse and gazebo.

Lowbridge House, Dalton DL11 7FB
This is a beautiful garden created from farmland with wonderful panoramic views of local countryside. The garden consists of mixed borders with roses and sweet peas. There is a large pond (small lake) stocked with ghost carp and trout, with natural planting including candelabra primulas and wild flower banks. The island has ducks, coots and moorhens nesting. There is a woodland and stream-side walk with dippers and kingfishers. A short slide show of the visit is below:

Woodside House, Witton park, Bishop Auckland DL14 0DU
This is a stunning 2 acre, mature, undulating garden full of interesting trees, shrubs and plants. Superbly landscaped by the owners Charles and Jean Crompton with island beds, flowing herbaceous borders, an old walled garden, rhododendron beds, fernery, 3 ponds, grass bed and vegetable garden.
It is a delightful garden full of interesting and unusual features: much to fire the imagination. it has been featured in the Telegraph and Amateur Gardening.

Linton House, 33 Bargate, Richmond DL10 4QY
A town garden with central rill, pleached trees, topiary, perennials and grasses. It was designed by Alistair Baldwin, a Richmond based garden designer. At the 2013 RHS Chelsea Flower Show Alistair won the People’s Choice Award for his show garden celebrating the Tour De France’s visit to Yorkshire and was sponsored by Welcome to Yorkshire. Alistair also designed the superb gardens at Wynyard Hall which Richmond Garden Club visited in 2017.
