Noble Prospects: Capability Brown & the Yorkshire Landscape
at the Mercer Art Gallery, Harrogate
25 June - 11 September 2016.
The Yorkshire Gardens Trust and the Mercer Art Gallery are delighted to announce the first ever exhibition dedicated to the Yorkshire landscapes of Lancelot 'Capability' Brown (1716-1783). The exhibition celebrates the tercentenary of the birth of Brown but also marks the twentieth-anniversary of the founding of the Yorkshire Gardens Trust.
Meetings. The Garden Club meets in the Richmond Town Hall, DL10 4QL, on the second Wednesday of the month at 7.30pm from September to April. A variety of garden visits are also arranged, particularly in the summer months.
See red dot on the map for location of meetings.
The garden visits are now finished for this summer. The next event will be the first autumn meeting on Wednesday 14 September when Wendy Jefferson will talk on "Growing Flowers for Cutting". See Upcoming Meetings page for details.
Please don't forget to send us photos from your garden on a regular basis - they will appear on the "This month" page of the website.
